Assisted Living

Our Assisted Living program provides personalized care tailored to your specific needs. Services include:

Metta Memory (Memory Care)

Our Metta Memory neighbourhoods are designed to provide a comforting and secure environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Our specially trained staff focus on individual interests, past life experiences, and customized needs. Services and programs include:

• 24-Hour Nursing Staff: Dedicated to your care and safety.

• Medication Management and Administration: Up to three times per day.

• Daily Suite Tidy and Weekly Housekeeping: Keeping your living space clean and comfortable.

• Personal Laundry, Linens, and Towels: Weekly services for your convenience.

• Continence Needs Supervision: Ensuring your comfort and dignity.

• Emergency Nurse-Call Pendant: Providing peace of mind with immediate assistance.

• Basic Bathing Assistance: Weekly support for your bathing needs.

• Personal Support Assistance: 60 minutes per day tailored to your needs.

• Recreation and Therapeutic Programs: Cognitive fitness, exercise classes, pet therapy, music therapy, sensory activities, and more.

• Specialized Individualized Programs: Small group activities to engage and entertain.

• Dining Services: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a dedicated ground floor dining room with staff supervision.

• 24-Hour Refreshments and Snacks: Always available to keep you nourished.

• Meal Assistance: Helping with meal set-up and supervision.

Respite Care

Our Respite Care program offers short-term stays for seniors recovering from an injury or for caregivers needing extended time off. This is also a great option for those considering a trial stay at McCowan. You'll receive all the care options available in the Assisted Living program.
