The social worker at the hospital was nice and wanted to help, but she wasn’t allowed to recommend any long-term care homes and had almost no information about retirement homes.

This was an incredibly difficult decision—we were in uncharted waters, information was hard to find and often inconsistent, and we felt like we had to do it on our own. I couldn’t believe this was the process every family faced when they needed to find elder care.
