Resident Facilities

Villa Karuna Senior's Home is specifically designed to benefit the Sri Lankan elderly community in need of loving home care services. Our caring and dedicated staff are on duty day and night to provide friendly, attentive care to our residents.

Our Facilities Include:

• 24-hour personalized care

• Regular doctor's visits

• Nutritious meals and snacks

• In-house laundry and linen services

• Short-term and vacation stays

Care-Giving Facilities

Our care-giving section accommodates elders who are able to help themselves but need some outside assistance to make their lives comfortable. The staff extends their support and love to the seniors in any capacity they need.

Our Care Programs Include:

• Assisted Living: For seniors who cannot live alone but do not require high-level care like a nursing home.

• Total Care: For seniors needing extensive assistance but not skilled nursing care.

• Respite Care: For short-term breaks for caregivers or to try out our home care before moving into Assisted Living.

• Senior Day Care: For seniors needing daily relief and ongoing support for caregivers.

Services We Offer

Meal Preparation:

• Offered according to the client's request with a minimum time period of three hours. Clients are responsible for providing the cooking supplies.

Light Housekeeping and Laundry:

• Regular or irregular basis as needed, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, washing clothes, folding laundry, and ironing.

Care Giving and Companionship:

• Our staff will take seniors for walks, chat with them, write letters, make coffee, or assist them to be independent in their own home.

Personal Care:

• Fully-trained personal support workers can help with daily routines such as bathing, hair care, shaving, personal grooming, and ensuring medications are taken as scheduled.

Live-In Care:

• One-on-one care and companionship, assisting with general housekeeping tasks such as shopping, cleaning, laundry, bathing, cooking, and helping seniors get up or go to bed.

Additional Services Include:

• 3 meals and snacks daily, with special diets accommodated

• Medication management

• Mobility assistance

• On-call nurse and skilled nursing services through CCAC (Community Care Access Centre)

• Housekeeping and personal laundry

• Diabetes management, including blood sugar checks and insulin administration

• Regular visits by family physicians and physiotherapists
