Fudger House Long-Term Care is a 250-bed residence that provides a compassionate and attentive environment for individuals requiring long-term care. With a variety of accommodations, including private, semi-private, and basic rooms, the home ensures that residents receive 24-hour nursing and personal care tailored to their unique needs. Access to doctors and other health professionals is readily available, fostering a comprehensive support system that prioritizes the health and well-being of each resident. The home also features a secure dementia unit, designed to offer specialized care for individuals living with memory challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort. In addition to long-term care, Fudger House offers short-stay care, providing respite for caregivers in need of temporary relief. This publicly funded service allows for stays of up to 90 days per year, with each individual stay lasting no longer than 60 days, subject to availability. Residents in short-stay care benefit from the same extensive services as long-stay residents, including bedding, laundry, meals, personal hygiene supplies, and medical equipment such as catheters and wound care supplies. Dedicated staff assist with medication management and activities of daily living, ensuring that all residents maintain dignity and quality of life. Fudger House is committed to fostering an inclusive environment, featuring a two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (2SLGBTQI+) positive atmosphere. Additionally, a specific unit is dedicated to Chinese residents, reflecting the home’s commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity.
