Welcome to Fairview Lodge
Fairview Lodge is a state-of-the-art long-term care home with 198 beds, nestled on a beautiful 12-acre piece of land. Our brand-new, three-storey residence exceeds Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards, offering a modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly home for our residents. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.
Our Services
Fairview Lodge offers a comprehensive range of specialized services, supportive care, and programs designed to cater to the needs of all residents. Our services include:
24-hour Nursing Care: Provided by Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Personal Support Workers (PSWs).
Medical Care: A dedicated medical director ensures 24/7 physician coverage, complemented by a Nurse Practitioner.
Therapies: Access to an Occupational Therapist and a Physiotherapist.
Recreation Programs: Delivered by recreation programmers, offering day, evening, and weekend social activities.
Social Support: Services of a Social Worker and pastoral care, with access to a worship centre.
Infection Control: Managed by an Infection Control Nurse.
Nutritional Support: A Registered Dietitian oversees seasonal menus and food quality.
Amenities: Activity and dining rooms in each resident home area, a hair salon, and a tuck shop.
Specialized Care Units
Dementia Care Unit: Dedicated to residents with dementia, providing specialized care and a secure environment.
Behavioural Specialized Unit: A 26-bed unit offering tailored care for residents with specific behavioural needs.
Accommodations
Private Rooms: 48 private rooms, including 26 in a secured unit and 3 bariatric rooms.
Semi-Private Rooms: 96 semi-private rooms with shared bathrooms.
Standard Rooms: 54 standard rooms.
Resident Care Services
Daily Living Assistance: Help with activities of daily living, including catheter care, colostomies, dialysis, incontinence management, mechanical lifts, oxygen concentrators, oral suction, and wound care.
Medical Supplies: Provision of personal hygiene supplies, medical supplies, and equipment.
Recreation and Social Programs: Regular activities to promote socialization and engagement.
Dining Services: Dining rooms located in 7 units, meal tray service for infirm residents, and family dining available by booking.
Additional Facilities and Services
Therapies: Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and palliative care.
Support Services: Social work, pastoral care, and access to a registered dietician.
Amenities: Church/chapel, cable television, hairdressing/barber services, tuck shop, foot care, and dental care.
Facility Security: Alarmed structure with secure outside areas and a fenced yard.
Levels of Care
Light Care: For residents who can manage most activities of daily living but may require supervision.
Medium Care: For residents needing assistance and supervision with activities of daily living.
Heavy Care: For residents requiring total care with most activities of daily living.
